RAP UNDERGROUND NORTH SHOWCASE

Well despite all of the efforts to present roadblocks the RUN was unscaved. Because of scheduling conflicts we had to tell the performers at the last minute that we would be starting one hour earlier and that we had to be out by 9pm. No problem all of the acts were there by 7:45 and the first act went on by 8PM. The first act was a poet by the name of Ransom I think wasn't sure even though he tried to tell me a number of times, I guess I'll ask Andrea tha Gr8 I believe he was a friend of hers. But the boy had a flow and provided the audience with thought provoking verse. Then KingAmun, re' took the stage with his message driven hip hop I am sure we will hear more from this brother in the future. I was most impressed with the Friendly Fire crew you know the boy Bless, Air Smooth and Shizzy not sure i f I got shizzy right by in time I will have put it together. The boys had some stuff that I believe will set them apart from the crowd so check them out where ever their performing you will not be disappointed. Then there was Terence (Side Effect) Woods it sounds like this brother has been around for awhile his flow was real like in real hip hop if you check out his myspace "Sideeffect88" you will see that he has put out three independent CDs, I am glad to say my man gave me a copy of his latest effort "Dirt Hustlin". Side Effect takes it back to the days when hip hop was fresh and gave us something to look forward to when you knew all you wanted to do was rock the M.I.C. this is one cd you should check out and also check him out. I am sure I will be able to get Mr. Effect to come back to the RUN we like what he does. All in all for our first effort in some time it went well and it looks like it sparked and new interest in the people who bought you DA BUZZ magazine. Stay tuned...

Artist Confirmation just thought you would want to know
We have confirm performances by Side Effect , Bless , and Kingramun.re we are waiting to hear from KMASS before go with the promo blast. For your information Side Effect has three CDs under his belt the latest being "Dirt Hustlin" , also KingRaman.Re is another hard hittin MC bringing real Hip Hop like I like, and the "Independent as F**K" Kmass , and the boy Air Smooth and his crew Friendly Fire presents " Bless " so far it looks like a real hot line up that you don't want to miss.

Well the Rap Underground North receiving mad responses.....
We are getting inquieres for everywhere and everybody but we have yet to narrow down a lineup for the Sept 21st show but we will soon. Once we have the lineup we will start to distribute fliyers and the plan is to make the local newspapers aware of what we are doing.
Here at the RUN clubhouse we have been brainstorming on how we can take this show on the road. It looks like the idea of a RUN in Harrisburg or Pittsburgh or for that matter anywhere we can put on a show is of interest to everybody around here. The thing will will need is the talent of which we are hoping to survey when the perform on our showcases. Not only will we take the show on the road but with every show on video the previous shows will be mad available to the clubs patrons at a modest fee. Making the showcase available on DVD is a very good way to promote the artist and showcase to a ever widening audience, hopefully everyone will be on the same page. We are now researching venues to promote our upcoming showcases as for now like I said we are still confirming acts for our show on the 21st of Sept.
